‘Golden GO’ Programme Series: ‘Golden Shooter’
Competitive Shooting: Challenge Yourself, Break Your Limits
As society increasingly focuses on the health and quality of life of older adults, the 'Golden GO' programme is introducing a unique emerging sport – Competitive Shooting training classes. These classes allow participants to learn how to use an air rifle from scratch and engage in competitive shooting, enjoying the fun of this sport.
What is Competitive Shooting?
Competitive Shooting is a sport that combines shooting skills, strategic thinking, and physical fitness. Participants must quickly and accurately hit targets in various scenarios, with scores based on accuracy and speed. This sport tests not only shooting skills but also mental resilience, making it suitable for shooting enthusiasts of all ages.

Details of the Competitive Shooting Training Class
The training class lasts for 11 months and includes three shooting training sessions each month and one interactive day (i.e. fun interactive shooting day, scenario design training, family fun day or staff training). At the end of programme, there will be a graduation shooting competition for participants to assess their learning outcomes.
Dates: Febuary to December 2025
Location: San Po Kong, Sze Mei Street
Target Audience: Individuals aged 45 and above
Number of Participants: 10-30 people
Fee: Monthly fee of HKD750, plus an additional equipment rental fee of HKD 1,000 for the first month
Requirements to Become a 'Golden Shooter'
- Individuals aged 45 and above
- No prior professional training as a shooter
- No surgeries in the past year
- No heart disease
- Good health status (including no heart disease, no chronic chest pain, no dizziness, loss of balance, or loss of consciousness in the past three months, and healthy skeletal joints, such as spine, knees, hips, etc.)
