Abstract
Technology is transforming the ageing experience, offering new ways for older adults to stay healthy, connected, and empowered. This session explores how innovation is driving a more inclusive and supportive Silver Economy, where digital tools, smart platforms, and policy initiatives work together to improve quality of life for ageing populations.
Speakers will examine how cross-sector collaboration is making technology more intuitive and accessible, helping to build communities where ageing is not only supported, but also celebrated. Join us to discover how thoughtful innovation can make ageing smarter, safer, and more dignified for all.


He has worked in the ICT Industry for over 20 years, introducing many pioneer products and technologies into Hong Kong. He is also a columnist in several popular newspapers and magazines, such as am730, Hong Kong Economic Journal, Mingpao, HK01, Economic Digest, Wen Wei Po, PC Market, and eZone.


NT is also the Consultant for eHealth for the Hong Kong Government where he led the development of the territory-wide Electronic Health Record Sharing System which launched in 2016 to integrate the entire health care ecosystem and is now advancing to eHealth+, a key enabling platform for health care policy in Hong Kong.
NT is also the CEO of EHPlus Digital, a HA spinoff which aims to make HA’s IT and data expertise and assets available to the wider health ecosystem, in Hong Kong and beyond.
NT has represented Hong Kong at the Global Health Digital Partnership since its inaugural Summit in 2018 and is an active participant in many of the GDHP workstreams. He is recognized as a fellow of both the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics and the Australasian Institute of Digital Health.


With over 20 years of experience in the Smart Living and Retail Technology industries, Ricky is a member of the Retail Industry Group Executive Committee (RIG EXCO) of the HK Computer Society (HKCS), where he helps facilitate the launch of startups and pioneers automation solutions for retail industry. Ricky has also actively participated in public services related to education, industrial training, and youth development. Currently, he serves as a member of the Committee on Home-School Co-operation and Assessment Panel member on Award for Education Innovation, Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence, appointed by the Education Bureau of the Government of the HKSAR, and a member of The Electronics and Telecommunications Training Board of the Vocational Training Council (VTC).
He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Industrial Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a Master of Arts degree in Architecture from Kingston University, London, an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and has completed the Executive Education of Technology & Innovation Management Programme from Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
